Introduce the FPC connector specification(part 1)

FPC introduction:

 

Free Pascal Compiler, abbreviated as FPC and generally known as Flexible Printed Circuit Board.  This means, the FPC connector has great flexibility due to its material of pi polyimide or polyester film. It also contains high reliability with excellent flexibility.

 

In fact, FPC belongs to the Free Pascal compiler as well as one of the global initial opening source software. It is using Object Pascal to write (which is also good for itself to compile). Now it is suitable for 32 & 64 bit Pascal and Object Pascal compiler.  Not only is the FPC connector involved in various compilers and provides a very wide range of the language models, it is also compatible with Turbo Pascal Delphi Apple Pascal, etc. Pascal language enable the handling of Intel 80386 Motorola 680x0 and many other operating systems , which also include the present most commonly used such as GNU/Linux FreeBSD NetBSD DOS 32 bit Windows 64 bit Windows OS/2 BeOS SunOS QNX and the prior Amiga. Apparently, FPC has become the most powerful one among the compilers which means there is no doubt regarding its functionality. 

 

In case we’re looking back at the history of Free Pascal, we would be able to know that the Free Pascal already can totally support the IOS since 2009. Which means it already can guarantee to use the same code to process the compile tasks from the different platforms and also make sure they are operating normally. The main reason for this performance is because Free Pascal applies to the embedded platforms by means of cross compile technology so as to protect its working environment that can be variable but not affecting its final result. As all we can see this kind of technology character is the new type of products to obey constantly in nowadays.   

 

FPC basic structure

 

The FPC connector structure is much simpler, however it utilizes the more advanced raw materials and technology that makes the FPC have outstanding benefits.

 

The intuitive structure of FPC includes three major parts: Copper Film, Cover Film and PI Stiffener film.

 

Copper film including –

1.       The chopper film in three thickness levels of 1, 1/2 and 1/3 OZ; electrolyze copper and rolled copper are the two main materials. 

2.       The thickness at 1mil or 1/2 mil base film.

3.       The glue can be adjusted for different thicknesses ( adhesive)

FPC cover film including –

1.       The thickness at 1mil or 1/2 mil cover film

2.       The same glue can be adjusted for different thicknesses ( adhesive)

3.       The releasing paper to avoid the glue (adhesive) attached foreign matter.

PI Stiffener film including –

1.       The thickness from 3mil to 9 mil reinforces the mechanical strength of the stiffener film.

2.       The same glue can be adjusted from different thicknesses ( adhesive)

3.       The releasing paper to avoid the glue ( adhesive) attached foreign matter

4.       The EMI electromagnetic mask film to prevent the internal circuit inside the FPC connector circuit board from interference from external strong electromagnetic forces.
