Due to the simultaneous development of computer and network communication, the relationship between communication devices from a wired device and network has shifted to a wireless device and network. This change does not only occur in computers and network, but also in areas where reliability is extremely important, such as industries, medical care, and automobiles. Even though different governments have different attitudes toward wireless technology’s total dominance of the technology market, making wireless processes for wired technology has become inevitable. The US Federal Communications Commission and international regulatory entities have been competing for bandwidth between wired and wireless devices. It is clear that wireless technology has tremendous impact on connector manufacturers.

The reason why wireless technology has sprung up and disrupted the original condition of the market is largely due to the convenience of wireless technology.  There is an inevitable development trend in the mobile society and discovery of raw materials that can reduce production cost. The most popular applications for wireless technology are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB.
Among these three wireless technology applications, CWUSB is the main focus due to its emergence, which has greatly affected the development of the USB 2.0 industry and the development process of USB 3.0. However, CWUSB is not perfect. Only a small number of companies with strong capital and strength have developed and created these products. For example, Intel is making modulation innovations on the core of CWUSB. Toshiba of Japan has introduced a new concept of WUSB "Expansion Slot" with hopes to complement the PC expansion slot and effectively connect to external facilities.

There are high-growth wireless application technologies like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which are gradually improving and entering a vast market. However, they are too expensive and consume too much power; hence, they seem to be unrecognized in small and medium-sized electronic devices, but have relatively played a role in the replacement of the market structure.
It is understandable that the update of wireless technology affects the interests of connector manufacturers to a large extent. Given that wireless devices are going to replace wired devices, and transmission speed is still not as good as that of wired devices, convenience is still the major advantage of wireless devices over wired devices. Wireless technology has made many electronic components abandon the technical application of connector sockets, along with the working principle of the connector interface. Some connector products are bound to be phased out, raising new questions and challenges for connector manufacturers as they face the connector industry in the future.
