The connector supplier market has always been broad, which has led to a fierce global competition. In this competition, Europe, the United States, Japan and Taiwan have formed a three-pronged situation. They have shown their ability to enhance their own market share in the connector market in different aspects.

As far as Europe and the United States are concerned, they have strong funds, and they have favorable arrangements for the global connector supplier market, and have developed effective research and innovation projects. They have also gone into merger agreements and acquisition of other companies to seize the company's complete integration of solutions and to place continued pressure on other small and medium-sized enterprises. However, after the impact of the financial crisis, manufacturers in Europe and the United States have been hit hard and have been subject to lower prices of electronic products. They have to change their business strategies and turn to the policy of price wars for some connector products.

For Japanese companies, although they are unable to compete with European and American manufacturers in terms of capital, their advanced industrial technology is unquestionable in the connector industry. Therefore, the Japanese factories exert its own advantages and uses its superior technology to compete in the market. The miniaturization of the connector, low height, narrow pitch, composite, multi-functional and other features are taken to the extreme, occupying the high-end market of connectors and thus widening distance with connector manufacturers in other regions. But Japanese companies were not exempt from the impact of the financial turmoil. It is precisely because of the financial turmoil that the export of high-end products has been greatly attenuated, and technological innovation in Japan cannot continue. As a result, Japanese connector manufacturers involuntarily redirected the company's focus on the manufacture of low- and medium-sized products.

Taiwan connector manufacturers are good at using upstream and downstream, shortening development time, reducing product line progress, and focusing on downstream terminal products. They have always been committed to occupying the low-end connector market and avoiding the high-end technical offensives of European and American manufacturers. In addition, Taiwan uses its own geographical advantages to vigorously carry out trade with mainland China, continue to expand the factory to mainland China, and successfully reduce the cost that comes with overseas production. However, even if the financial turmoil hit the world, European and American manufacturers competed with Taiwan's downstream terminal products, making Taiwan's first quarter of 2009 more than 12% lower than the same period in 2008. The Taiwan connector market can still improve the corresponding technology and recapture its original market share, so it seems that there is still hope for Taiwan's connector suppliers, and it is expected that market competitiveness will continue to develop after the financial turmoil.
