Taiwan FPC connector manufacture process:
There are two types of FPC connectors : single-side and double-side, and their manufacturing processes are different.
 
The process for double-side FPC connectors involves cutting → drilling → PTH → plating → pre-treatment → dry film → alignment → exposure → development → graphic plating → mold releasing → pretreatment → dry film → alignment → exposure → development → etching → mold releasing → surface treatment → cover film → pressing → consolidating → nickel immersion gold → character printing → cutting → electrical logging → punching → final inspection → packing → shipping
As for single-side FPC connectors, it doesn’t need pre-treatment and post-treatment like the double-side ones. It is easier and involves this process cutting → drilling → dry film → alignment → exposure → development → etching → mold releasing → surface treatment → cover film → pressing → consolidating → surface treatment → cover film → pressing → consolidating → surface treatment → nickel immersion gold → character printing → cutting → electrical logging → punching → final inspection → packing → shipping

From the above process, we can manufacture FPC connectors, but quality identification is very important to prevent the FPC connector wear and tear the product.
